Hello everyone! I am delighted to announce the launch of my new website The Web Ninja!
As many of you know, although I love writing about investing and dividend stocks, you also know I have a passion for the web industry. From 2004 to 2010 I ran my own web design company, and the Dividend Ninja was my first WordPress site – I’m pretty pleased with the results and what I’ve been able to achieve. But I always felt there was more, and I always wanted to build a site about how to use WordPress, what I learned from the web industry, and how to market a blog from the ground up.
Back in October 2011 after the Financial Bloggers Conference in Chicago (FinCon11), I came up with the idea of The Web Ninja. During the conference I met so many bloggers who were in need of basic WordPress tutorials, and who were making so little from AdSense and Amazon. Yet I met others who were making fortunes from their blogs, through their own products and affiliate marketing. So for the last several months, while working and keeping the Dividend Ninja going, I’ve been following my passion. I’ve been writing articles, designing, hacking code, and building the Web Ninja one step at a time.
Of course, many other top bloggers have already created sites like this. So what could I possibly offer that they haven’t already covered? I’m certainly not a top blogger making a top income, but I’m making several thousand extra per year with only one site. I want to show you how you can apply the same techniques to your own blog. And I’m going to share my journey each step of the way with tutorials, the WordPress plugins and services I use, and a monthly income report.
I do believe anyone can make a solid part-time or even a full-time income from the web. But I also believe it takes hard work, the right focus, and old-fashioned perseverance. That’s exactly what this site is about – learning the basics, the tools of the trade, and building on them one step at a time. From getting setup with WordPress, to building your subscribers, to monetizing your email list, that is what the Web Ninja is all about.
Readers drop by the Web Ninja and let me know what you think! The Web Ninja is open for discussion, suggestions and comments. 😉
