This eBook is available through Amazon Kindle, with both a [easyazon_link asin=”B009CXTH5K” locale=”CA” new_window=”default” nofollow=”default” tag=”divninjaca-20″ add_to_cart=”default” cloaking=”default” localization=”default” popups=”default”]Canadian Edition[/easyazon_link], and a [easyazon_link asin=”B009CXT8AY” locale=”CA” new_window=”default” nofollow=”default” tag=”divninjaca-20″ add_to_cart=”default” cloaking=”default” localization=”default” popups=”default”]U.S. Edition[/easyazon_link].

I plan a review for the future, but for now I just wanted to get the word out to readers. This eBook looks absolutely amazing! I’ve just perused the copies that Mike sent me for review and I’m impressed with what I’ve read so far. This is a 139 page in-depth analysis of dividend stock investing. Mike describes his book as:

A master class in the actual methods utilized by financial professionals and industry insiders for building real wealth to achieve financial freedom.

I’m excited about this eBook for two reasons. First, Mike really lays out the key dividend growth ratios that dividend investors need to know and understand. Secondly, this is a hands-on book that investors can apply to their own stock portfolios, with plenty of advice on portfolio management.

Key Dividend Growth Ratios

The key point in [easyazon_link asin=”B009CXTH5K” locale=”CA” new_window=”default” nofollow=”default” tag=”divninjaca-20″ add_to_cart=”default” cloaking=”default” localization=”default” popups=”default”]Dividend Growth: Freedom Through Passive Income[/easyazon_link] is Mike’s screening criteria for dividend stocks. This is really what the newbie investor really needs guidance with. But more importantly, Mike shows you how to apply these ratios to selecting stocks, with a real hands on approach. What are some of the Key Dividend Growth Ratios Mike covers in-depth?

  • Dividend Yield > 3%
  • 5 Year Dividend Growth > 5%
  • Return on Equity (ROE) > 10%
  • 5 Year Annual Income Growth Rate >1%
  • Current Price to Earnings Ratio < 20
  • Dividend Payout Ratio < 75%

But more importantly, this eBook shows you how you can apply those ratios to selecting your own stocks!

So What’s Inside?

What are some of the key points that Mike covers in his new eBook? Here is a small list of some of the finer points:

  • The power of dividend growth
  • The key dividend ratios and dividend investing terms.
  • How to screen dividend stocks (a detailed hands on practical approach).
  • Using dividend ratios for real stock picks.
  • Invest in foreign stocks without paying tons of taxes.
  • Portfolio models based on account type (assets available)
  • An in-depth look at REITs and why Retirees need them!
  • Finding triggers to buy and sell stocks, and make money out of it!
  • Generate impressive dividend growth by managing your portfolio as a whole.
  • And most importantly, in Mike’s own words – you won’t learn how to make money on the stock market, but you will learn how to invest carefully.

Last Warning: Dividend Investing is Everything but Sexy!

Here is what Mike really thinks about dividend investing:

“As you can see, there is nothing very exciting about dividend investing. On top of that, you will never have that crazy story for your Xmas party where you made 142% with your latest trade in the span of 6 months or so. However, over time, you will be the guy smiling at the same Xmas party because you can live off dividends and you won’t need to cash your capitals. All right… I lied to you… THAT IS SEXY!”

Remember, there are two different Kindle editions of Dividend Growth: Freedom Through Passive Income. 1. Those are very sensible screening criteria. A recommendation from you means a lot indeed DN.

As you rightly point out, dividend investing isn’t sexy, but you will sleep well at night and in my opinion, this is how investing should be done. As a shareholder, you own a piece of the company. You should get a piece of the earnings as well.

      • I will wait then, as the Kindle for iPhone (I have iPod) has to use Wi-Fi or otherwise be connected in order to use your Kindle account. Totally convoluted! I thought the idea was to offer ‘offline’ book reading. Poor reviews on that app as well.

However, this book will probably turn out to be a classic, so time is not of the essence!
